Having worked in the luxury PR industry whilst studying Public Relations and Marketing at Queensland University of Technology, I have built a strong network of contacts and a sound understanding of the media industry. I bring to the table a Business degree and over 12 months of experience within the luxury fashion PR sector. 

Initially this role commenced managing the public relations for the Australian Hair Fashion Awards 2012, and grew to include writing content for the publication. This role involved working closely with the International Creative Director to maintain and build key relationships with the media and hairdressing industry professionals. I oversaw all public relations activities and implemented a social media strategy.  My role within the company also involved contributing written material on the fashion and hair industry for publication. 

 

Reason for leaving: This was a temporary, contract role.

This role involved actively writing press releases and liaising with the media, representing the company both internally and in the eye of the public. Oversaw all marketing, advertising and promotional activities and implemented the company's public relations plans including the use of a social media strategy. Played a principle role during Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival 2011, achieved national media coverage post-event including 5 Fairfax Media publications.

Reason for leaving:           The company relocated overseas.

The role also involved composing media releases, assisting in production of events, and updating databases, calendars and market research.

 

Reason for leaving: The agreed terms of the internship were solely for 3 months. Following this, the company relocated to the USA.
